First Impressions and Outreach - Maple Ridge Campus

Role: Assist in serving in multiple capacities on Sunday mornings to facilitate the ministry, including hospitality, coffee bar, ushering, greeting and event set-up and tear down for special events (i.e. Cafe Sundays and Welcome To Church Parties). Serve in the area of outreach by assisting in the planning and execution of community-focused events through both administrative and hands-on work. 

Supervisor: Tessa DeBruyne or Mark Colwell

Requirements: Application, interview, willingness to serve, some administrative capacity.

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings, outreach and leadership events, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre.

Worship Ministry – Maple Ridge Campus 

Role: Serve as a part of the worship experience on Sunday mornings or in additional contexts where this ministry is required, such as special services and events. Students committed to worship ministry will also be required to serve in other areas of the church, such as First Impressions or Kids Ministry when they are not scheduled for worship.

Supervisor: Tessa DeBruyne

Requirements: Application, interview, audition for musicians (to be scheduled on a Sunday morning before service), willingness to serve. 

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings, outreach and leadership events, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre.

Kid’s Ministry Team Member – Maple Ridge Campus

Role: Serve in preschool and elementary capacities in CLA Kids Ministry on Sunday mornings at MR Campus.

Supervisor: Jenni Colwell

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work with children, willingness to serve.

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings, special departmental events if available, training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre.

Social Media and Tech – Maple Ridge Campus

Role: Serve on sound or media teams on Sunday mornings. Contribute to developing and producing social media streams for various church departments and events. Students committed to this ministry will also be required to serve in other areas of the church, such as First Impressions or Kids Ministry when they are not already scheduled for tech responsibilities.

Supervisor: Nico DeBruyne (Mentor), Mark Stevens (Overseer)

Requirements: Application, interview, familiarity with sound and media, willingness to learn and serve. Audition/training sessions will be required.

Time investment: Weekly Sunday mornings, outreach and leadership events, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre.

Discipleship & Ministry (“Grow”) – Maple Ridge Campus

Role: Assist with MR Campus Life Groups, discipleship events & classes

Supervisor: Nico DeBruyne

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work on a team and also serve independently, relate well to a wide audience, interest in discipleship and writing curriculum.

Time Investment: Weekly crafting of Life Group discussion guide/questions, Sunday morning attendance, assistance with discipleship/training events, retreats & classes (may include some evenings and/or weekends), monthly mentoring meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training with Maple Ridge leadership cadre, will also be involved in some capacity serving on Sunday mornings.

Junior High Ministry (678) – Maple Ridge Campus

Role: Assist and serve on the Junior High Ministry Team at MR Campus running on Sunday morning in 678 Life Groups, speaking opportunities in 678. 

Supervisor: Jordan Marcellus, Mark Colwell

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve, proven ability to teach.

Time Investment: Weekly Sunday mornings (during service), leadership meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre. Will be invited/given opportunity to serve in church-wide outreach and leadership development events.

Youth Ministry Generalist (SOMA) – Maple Ridge Campus

Role: Assist and serve the MR Campus Youth Ministry weekly on Tuesday evenings in varied capacities including set up, tear down, Life Groups, and prayer. 

Supervisor: Jordan Marcellus

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve.

Time Investment: Weekly Tuesday evenings, Sunday morning attendance, leadership training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre. Will be invited/given opportunity to serve in church-wide outreach and leadership development events.

Youth Ministry Worship & Discipleship (SOMA) – Maple Ridge Campus 

Role: Assist and serve the youth ministry weekly on Tuesday evenings and discipleship weekly on Sunday mornings. Schedule and assist worship for Youth Ministry (SOMA). Assist in training youth in the SOMA school of worship. Be a part of Life Groups and prayer gatherings on Tuesday evenings. 

Supervisor: Jordan Marcellus, Mark Colwell

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve, disciple students, proven musical abilities. 

Time Investment: Weekly Tuesday evenings, Sunday morning attendance and facilitate LEAD (our student discipleship program), leadership training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre. Will be invited/given opportunity to serve in church-wide outreach and leadership development events.

Youth Ministry Pre/Post Service Environments (SOMA) – Maple Ridge Campus

Role: Assist and serve the Youth Ministry weekly on Tuesday evenings, create dynamic, engaging environments before and after services. Schedule and assist facilitation of pre and post service environments. Be a part of Life Groups and prayer gatherings on Tuesday evenings.

Supervisor: Jordan Marcellus

Requirements: Application, interview, capacity to work with youth, willingness to serve, minor administrative skills, event planning. 

Time Investment: Weekly Tuesday evenings, leadership training meetings, monthly meetings with supervising pastor and monthly leadership training moments with MR leadership cadre. Will be invited/given opportunity to serve in church-wide outreach and leadership development events.
